A senior officer that leaped to the help of a partner that was assaulted by a knifeman was granted the King's Commendation for Courage.

Sgt Tim Ansell grappled with 27-yr-old Jacob Brown after he placed a weapon to the throat of his colleague Sergeant Marc Foster.
