Discover Twenty-Nine Latest Game Cards from Magic's TMNT Set (Including a Commander Deck!)

Everyone's beloved pizza-loving heroes are making their way to Magic: The Gathering. The well-known TCG's company, the game's creators, unveiled a highly anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion at a exclusive event hosted at New York Comic Con. Could this be a exciting addition or yet another crossover cash grab? We'll let you decide.

Check out below at everything revealed from the Magic x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, including key background. Everything listed below releases on March 6, 2026, except for one item — the Pizza Bundle drops a few weeks later on March 27.

MTG x TMNT: Main Set Reveals

Before we get into all the various special decks and bundles on offer, let’s take a look at all the cards from the main Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles expansion unveiled by the developers. Play boosters for the set are priced at $6.99 per pack, while premium boosters should run $37.99 per pack.

Let's unpack a few shell-shocking details. To begin, a new gameplay mechanic called Sneak, which is a riff on the pre-existing Ninjutsu, where players can cheat powerful creatures into the game field when an attacker isn’t blocked. The key change here is that Sneak can affect non-creature spells as well. Wizards also took the opportunity to clean up the ability a bit (It counts as casting, unlike Ninjutsu). The original ability is staying, but chances are players will encounter the new mechanic in upcoming expansions from now on.

Should we go back to Kamigawa, we might use the original ability since that plane is it was developed and it is iconic of that world,” an experienced game designer explained. “However on other planes, because the rules are cleaner and Sneak is what's going to be in standard, it's more likely that we'd use the updated version.”

That second variant of the leader Turtle, Sewer Samurai, is among four special cards with special art created specifically for the set by TMNT co-creator the co-creator.

Additionally, should you be surprised by the card text on Turtles Forever, which lets you play game cards that aren't in your main deck, many players were. But according to the developers, it’s now a official card in all formats of Magic.

Anyway, below are the highly unusual full-art lands from the TMNT set:

As per Wizards of the Coast's current policy, these cards are fully legal in Magic’s Standard play. Developers say they were careful to make sure the new cards and mechanics worked smoothly with other Standard sets such as Edge of Eternities.

“I headed the development for 15 months and we were aware it was going to be in standard and which sets were going to be alongside it in Standard,” a lead designer says. “We designed to make sure that there's synergy with some of those sets including Edge of Eternities.”

As an instance, both TMNT and Edge of Eternities feature a blue-red strategy built around artifact cards.

“They mesh together to provide the pieces for a enjoyable Standard-legal deck,” the designer added.

Commander Deck: Turtle Power

After declining to design any pre-constructed Commander decks for Spider-Man and the upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender collaborations, Wizards is reversing course with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It’s only one precon, but it includes six distinct legendary cards that can serve as your Commander based on how you pair them (five cards have a special partner ability named “Character Select” that lets you start with two commanders in the command area instead of just one). Take a look for yourself:

This Commander deck is priced at $69.99, although that could easily go up based on demand. Sources told that it contains 43 brand-new cards in total, which translates to an extra 37 Turtle-themed cards in addition to the six legendary creatures shown above. (Doing some rough math, this suggests approximately 20 reprinted cards if we estimate the deck includes 37 lands.)

What will the TMNT edition of Sol Ring appear? Fans must wait and find out.

TMNT Bundle (Regular)

As per usual, Wizards is selling a collection. This one is priced at $69.99 and contains the following:

  • 9 Play Boosters
  • 15 Traditional foil basic lands
  • Fifteen Non-foil land cards
  • Two helper cards
  • One Traditional foil promotional card
  • One Oversized spindown life counter
  • One storage box

Pizza Bundle

Here’s a special idea for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, mostly in that it is packaged in a box resembling a pizza delivery box. Every Pizza Bundle is priced at $99.99 and includes the following:

  • Nine Play Boosters
  • One Premium Booster
  • Twenty-five Non-foil pizza-themed lands
  • 5 Traditional foil pizza-themed lands
  • Two Foil pizza bundle promotional cards
  • Two Reference cards
  • 1 Oversized spindown life counter
  • 1 storage box

If you’re wondering about the “Pizza Bundle promo card” means, it’s basically a reprinted older card featuring brand-new TMNT artwork. The team showed one for the popular Magic card Dark Ritual featuring art of master Splinter sprinkling black licorice pieces on a pizza. In total, there are six distinct pizza promos available.

The Pizza Bundle releases a couple of weeks later than the main set on March 27, 2026.

Draft Night

This special bundle is designed for a four-person draft and costs $119.99. That will get you:

  • Twelve Standard Boosters (ideal for a group of four to draft)
  • 1 Collector Booster (also known as, the reward for winning)
  • 90 Non-foil basic lands (to build your draft deck)
  • 10 Regular double-sided tokens
  • 1 Draft insert (a one-sheet instruction sheet to drafting this expansion)

Cooperative Play Set

Lastly, Wizards are doing something new with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as in line with its ongoing effort to create Magic products aimed at new players. In this case, Turtle Team-Up is a unique product of decks that allow two players join forces against a “Boss” deck that plays automatically.

The concept here that each Boss card grants unique powers to the creature cards contained in the boss deck. Each Boss automatically plays an additional card per turn, and players begin fighting {one Boss|
