Christian Horner achieved eight driver titles and six team championships throughout his leadership

Previous Red Bull chief Christian Horner is reportedly "contacting nearly every team principal" as he attempts a re-entry to F1, according to Aston Martin top executive Andy Cowell.

The Silverstone-based squad is among the squads that are associated with Horner.

The Aston Martin CEO mentioned he had checked the developments with squad proprietor Lawrence Stroll recently at the Singapore GP.

"It appears that Christian is getting in touch with most team bosses at the moment," said the CEO.

"I can clearly say there are no plans for the engagement of Christian in an leadership or investment capacity in the future."

Additional Squads Respond

The American team chief Ayao Komatsu revealed that the ex-chief had "reached out to" the American squad but noted: "Nothing has gone any further. The matter is closed."

Alpine top official Steve Nielsen mentioned the squad's senior consultant and de facto boss Flavio Briatore was "longtime companions" with Horner.

The Alpine director continued: "I don't know what they discuss. Everything I know is there are no arrangements for Christian to come to Alpine but that isn't to say it couldn't occur."

The Grove-based squad chief James Vowles stated that the former Red Bull leader had not approached them.

"We're content with the organization we have and it's working," the Williams boss said. "There's no cause to alter this."

Background Context

Horner is eligible to rejoin F1 by the mid-next season after finalising a severance package with Red Bull on 22 September.

The fifty-one-year-old was let go as Red Bull team principal after the British GP in July.

Multiple sources at the racing team have suggested the settlement package was valued at 60 million euros (52 million pounds).
