Man Utd head coach Ruben Amorim experiences the stress during their three-one defeat at opponents

Man Utd manager Ruben Amorim acknowledges he cannot ignore from his troubling record and states it is expected that Old Trafford icons are questioning him.

On Tuesday, United's record goalscorer Wayne Rooney told his program that "the soul has disappeared" from his former team.

Amorim has managed just eighteen wins from his forty-nine matches in control, including 9 out of thirty-three in the English top flight, where he has still to record two successive victories.

Despite the fact that high-level Old Trafford sources are certain that Sir Jim Ratcliffe remains backing Amorim, an inability to beat recently promoted their next opponents on the weekend will ignite fresh rumors about his future heading into another two-week international break.

"This is understandable," stated the Portugal-born manager, when asked about Rooney's comments. "You cannot escape from the outcomes."

"Additionally you have the baggage from last season, [although] that period for me is in the past."

Fan Response and Present Circumstances

United's followers remained supportive of their manager following the previous campaign's poor fare, when they finished fifteenth in the table - their poorest performance since the 1973-74 relegation campaign - and were defeated in the European showpiece, in the hope that this season would be significantly improved.

Amorim assured supporters the situation would get better because he had greater time to prepare with his players without the weekly commitment of continental competition.

That is not been how the initial six games have unfolded as Manchester United have endured 3 losses already and sit fourteenth in the league.

Manager's Reaction to Concerns

When asked what promises he could offer fans that the situation will get better, the manager stated: "This is not time to speak, it is the time to show."

"Personally review the games this season and, for me, they are entirely varied, but I have little to say at this moment."

  • Man Utd currently occupy 14th position in the top flight
  • The manager has secured just eighteen of his forty-nine matches in charge
